Sport
Sport is a compulsory component of the school curriculum.
The aim of sport at St Philomena’s is to promote:
- Pleasurable involvement in physical activity.
- Cognitive, aesthetic, expressive, physical, social and moral development.
- Health and Fitness.
- Positive attitudes and good ‘sportsmanship’.
All students will compete in the annual school swimming, cross country and athletics carnivals.

Training
- Training for swimming is offered two mornings a week during terms 1&4.
- Training for athletics is offered one afternoon a week during terms 2 & 3.
