Parents & Friends - Information
The present Parents and Friends Association was formed many years ago to bring together various groups of the School.
The Association is open to all parents and their involvement is actively encouraged and welcomed. The School promotes a sense of belonging within the student body by developing pride in the School through its co-curricular offerings, including activities such as sport, music, drama and debating. The P&F aims to extend that sense of belonging to the wider School community. To accomplish this, it operated several sub committees, their responsibilities being to co-ordinate the variety of events which take place throughout the year. “The Spring Fair” a family fun day is held at the school each year. Other activities include Trivia Nights, various drives, The Mother’s Day Stall and more. Since its inception, the funds generated have been able to sponsor either wholly, or in part, grounds and classroom improvements (such as computer hardware and software), and resources.
The Parents and Friends Association plays a significant role in the life of the School. It is not only an avenue for revenue raising, but also provides excellent opportunities for parents to be genuinely involved with the School and to ensure that “every aspect of school life contributes to the total development of each individual”.
